Purim (Feast of Esther)

Karaites celebrate Purim on the 14th and 15th day of the month of Adar אֲדָר as the reminder of the following events:
A long time ago our ancestors who lived in Persia were in danger, their enemies intended the complete destruction of their communities.
But the Judean man Mordokhay and his niece Esther - the wife of the Persian king, saved our ancestors from death.

In the memory of this event, Mordokhay and Esther appointed these two days of the month of Adar to celebrate the feast of Purim.
